Abstract

A highly-sensitive voltammetric sensor for scutellarin was fabricated via directly electro-polymerization of taurine at glassy carbon electrode. This sensor was simply obtained but displayed greatly improved response for scutellarin. The redox process of scutellarin was investigated systematically and some dynamic parameters of electrode reaction were calculated using electrochemical techniques in details. Under the optimum conditions, the linear range was from 8.0×10-8 to 4.0×10-6 mol L-1 with a low detectable limit 8.0×10-8 mol L-1. The proposed method was used to determine scutellarin in commercial pharmaceuticals with satisfactory results..
