Abstract

Extraction and transport of Methylene Blue dye (MB) from synthetic waste water were investigated in this work, using a plasticized polymeric membrane (PPM) composed of the base polymer (PVC), the carrier trioctyl Phosphine Oxide (TOPO) and the plasticizer dioctyl phthalate (DOP). MB species extraction and transfer conditions from feed phase to the strip one through PVC/TOPO/DOP, were optimized (carrier mass, H2SO4 concentration in the strip solution...). The membrane was characterized by using SEM techniques.
